FORBES, Diane Lenora - It is with immense sadness we announce the passing of Diane on December 20, 2020 at the age of 70.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Sara, her siblings, Rob, Alison, and Vivian, her close friends Jill, Jackie, and Carol, and all of her extended family.
Diane was very close with both immediate and distant family members and always made a point of checking in. One of her favourite things to do was to plan what trip she would take next and who she would see.
She retired in 2018 from the railway, only to start helping her daughter Sara with her business. She had a drive to help that was apparent to everyone around her and showed kindness and support that will be dearly missed. We find comfort in our memories of her kindness, laughter, intelligence, and strength (also her cooking!). She was taken from us far too soon and will be desperately missed.
Due to the COVID pandemic, there will be no immediate services. A celebration of life will be planned when it is safe to do so.
In lieu of flowers, Diane would love to see donations to her favourite causes: Oxfam Canada, VOICE for hearing impaired children, and Nature Conservancy of Canada.
