Chepelsky ArtCHEPELSKY, John Arthur 'Art' - (September 26, 1926 – January 25, 2021)

Passed away peacefully at Southlake Residential Care Village on January 25, 2021 at the age of 94, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

He will be reunited with his wife Lillian. Loving father of David Chepelsky, Kathryn Macklin and her husband Douglas, Robert Chepelsky and his wife Kristyn. Predeceased by his daughter Susan Chepelsky.

Proud Grandpa of Kayla and Darren Macklin, and Sarah and William Chepelsky.

Art was well known for his contributions to the Richmond Hill Community. He was an avid umpire for Richmond Hill Minor and Rep Ball.

Art was an active member of the Richmond Hill McConaghy Seniors Centre, organizing golf tournaments and collecting donated prizes. His love of billiards and badminton, led to the winning of a few trophies in Ontario competitions. If he wasn’t volunteering at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, he was practising pool or spending time on the volleyball courts just having fun!

Although the family wishes you could be with them during their time of loss, they appreciate your kind words and condolences.

A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date when family and friends will be able to attend and celebrate the memories of Art. Arrangements entrusted with Taylor funeral home, Newmarket.

If desired, donations in the memory of Art Chepelsky may be made to the Alzheimer Society.

The family would like to thank all the dedicated health care workers at Southlake Village for their love and care of Art during his time there.
