KAKARICOS, Sophia (nee Vasilakos) - Sophia Kakaricos (nee Vasilakos) passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by the love of her family, on Wednesday January 27, 2021, at the age of 89.
She is reunited in heaven with her beloved husband Demetre Kakaricos (2015).
Loving mother of Helen, Tommy (Cherie), and George (Lydia) Kakaricos. Cherished grandmother of Tory (Philip Menna), Demetre, James, and Antonio Kakaricos. Proud great grandmother of Jesse Menna.
Beloved sister of the late Theodora, and Constantine (Marina) Vasilakos. Predeceased by her parents George and Angela Vasilakos. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Sophia was born in Nemea, Greece. She came to Canada in 1957 and married Demetre, the love of her life. They were happily married for 58 years.
She will forever be remembered for her abundance of love and dedication to her family and to the church.
Arrangements are entrusted with Jerrett funeral home, Scarborough chapel. *Due to the current state of "lockdown" due to the Covid-19 outbreak, all funeral services are PRIVATE and by INVITATION ONLY.
