Del Re MariaDEL RE, Maria - (1929 - 2021) - With heavy hearts and great sadness, we announce the passing of Maria Del Re at Bradford Valley Long Term Care on February 1, 2021.

Beloved wife of the late Luigi. Loving mother of Vito and his wife Stephanie, Gino and his wife Soultana.

Cherished Nonna of Marcia (George), Steven (Lisa), Melissa (Peter), Louis (Emily), Marcus and Curtis. Bisnonna of Victoria, Alexandra, Mila, Jayden, and Jaxon.

Maria immigrated to Canada in 1953 from Italy to start a new life with her newlywed husband Luigi. She arrived in Canada via ship in Halifax and made her way to Edmonton. Maria, Luigi and their first son Vito moved to Toronto in 1956, a city they called home. After settling in Toronto for many years their second son Gino was born in 1964.

Maria was a caring loving woman. She loved her family and friends, enjoyed entertaining, cooking and travelling. The memories we have will comfort us at this difficult time. These great memories will always be in our hearts forever.

God has called for Maria and is now joining her belated husband Luigi and the many heavenly Angels above. Rest In Peace.

A private funeral service will be celebrated at Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge on Friday, February 5th at 9 am. Entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery.

Respecting the current situation and pandemic restrictions, the funeral service will be private. The Family has also provided the opportunity to view the funeral service from the comfort of your home through a livestream link. This link will become available on the funeral home website, on Ms. Del Re's memorial page, at the time of the service.

If so desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s & Dementia https://www.alz.org/alzheimer_s_dementia would be appreciated by the family.
