Lusky ReginaLUSKY, Regina Jean   - Having just recently celebrated her 95th birthday, Regina passed away peacefully, in her home in Mississauga, with loved ones at her side, on February 1, 2021.

Her family is comforted by the fact that she was ready to reunite with many who had gone before her: her kind and loving husband William Lusky of 37 years, sister Stella (John) Dabrowski, sister-in-law Mary Mical of Chicago, brothers-in-law Lou (Adele) Lusky and Ed Orlowski, along with a special circle of friends.

She is survived by her sister Helen Orlowski.

Regina's children: Ted Lusky, Joanne Lusky, and Teresa (Howard) Mikula will miss her tremendously but will keep her memory alive through terrific storytelling.

Regina was an adored and admired Gramma to Suzanna (Kyle), Phillip, Alexis (Sébastien), Leana (Patrick), Michael, and Great-Gramma to Amellia and GG to Léa and Nicholas. She was a wise, strong, hard-working woman with a warm and welcoming heart and an unassuming sense of humour.

Regina came to Canada from Poland by herself at the tender age of 9, settling in West Toronto for much of her life. In that spirit of strength and independence, she managed to live on her own until her final weeks.

She knew she was blessed to be healthy for so many years, which she described as "good, sometimes hard, but good." A sincere and heartfelt thanks to all of Regina's caregivers who helped her through her final days.

Following a private family service, she will be laid to rest at Prospect Cemetery in Toronto.

A celebration of Regina's life will be held at a future date for all family and friends who wish to attend.

Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Salvation Army.

Mom, Gramma, GG, Ciocia Reggie, thank you for your unwavering support, guidance and love all of these years.

We love you so much. You will live on forever in our hearts.
