Arriano AntonioARRIANO, Antonio   -  February 28, 1941 - March 16, 2021

It is with unbelievable sadness that the family of Antonio Varriano announces his passing.

He arrived in Toronto as a young man from Vinchiaturo, Italy.

Proud of his heritage and close family upbringing, he worked hard, laughed loud and loved unconditionally.

His generosity had no end. As children we benefited with gifts of copious amounts of ice cream, Sunday night rides in his new car to MacDonald's, or cash tucked into back pockets.

As adults, we never left his home without a sample of home-cured cheese, bottles of expertly made wine and various types of sausage, pancetta or his hot pepper oil.

His life enriched us all. His death has left a void that can't be filled.

He will be missed by everyone and all that he touched, especially his surviving siblings Aldo, Osvaldo (Rina), Rita and his dear sister-in-law Rita. He was predeceased by Pasquale (Concetta), Michele, Gildo, Nicola and Addolorata (Donato).

With many thanks to all the medical staff at MacKenzie Health, Dr. Glazer, Dr. Spensieri, Dr. Patel and the ladies at Valley Vista for all that you did to help and look after Antonio.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

The family will receive friends at the Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home, on Friday, March 19, 2021 from 11:15 – 11:45 a.m. and 12:00 – 12:30 p.m. There is a maximum of 25 people allowed in these sessions. Please call the funeral home to reserve a time.

A Mass of Christian burial in the Chapel of St. Joseph at 1:30 p.m. Entombment to follow.
