Smith ChristopherSMITH, Christopher   - Alec 1960 - 2021  Christopher Smith, of Dieppe, passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at the Moncton Hospital.

Born in Calcutta, India, he was the son of Clifford and Brenda (Grose) Smith.

Chris spent the majority of his life in Ontario but in 2018 began a new adventure when the family moved to New Brunswick, a place he loved.

Chris was very much loved by all who knew him and especially his maternal grandmother Dorothy Beatrice Grose.

Chris loved selling real estate because he enjoyed meeting and helping families find their perfect home.

He loved his extended family, many cousins and especially his Godchild Karen.

As a child, many weekends were spent in Boyd Park and Albion Hills with extended family, and he continued this tradition as an adult with annual picnics for friends and family.

Chris enjoyed travelling with Helen and Alec and they enjoyed many vacations together.

Life took a devastating turn for Chris in 2017 but he fought back and overcame a critical illness, Chris was so grateful for each day he had. Despite the physical handicaps that life threw at him, he never lost his sense of humour, his zest for life or his strength to survive and be with the family he loved.

Despite the distance, Chris kept in contact with family and friends in Ontario and enjoyed sharing his news and keeping up with theirs. In addition to his parents, Christopher is loved and remembered by his wife of 21 years Helen (Carson) Smith, much loved son Alec Smith, brother George (Tracey Monahan) Smith, mother-in-law Violet Carson as well as his large extended family.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb's Funeral Home., Riverview on Wednesday, May 26, 2021. A funeral service will take place at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 5 Fatima Dr., Riverview, on Thursday at 12:00 p.m. with Fr. Phil Mulligan officiating.
