Beloved wife of the late Thomas Ferguson, Betty-Ann passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side.

Born to Frederick and Jean Carrette, Betty-Ann grew up in the Beaches of Toronto.

Her teaching career began at Creighton Mine, ON in 1943.

It was a vocation she embraced with true dedication to her students until retirement from Henderson Ave.

Public School and E.J. Sand Public School in Thornhill, ON. Betty-Ann and Tom enjoyed travel, visiting friends and spending time with their families in both Ontario and Alberta.

She quietly championed the underdog and retained her curiosity, her independent spirit, and her wry sense of humour throughout her life.

She will be greatly missed and held in our hearts forever. Beloved mother of Janet Popel (Jon – deceased) and Nora Ferguson (Ken Scott). Proud grandmother of Jonathan Popel (Peggy), Julianne Baran (Dan) James Popel (Stephanie), Bronwyn, Claire and Morgan Scott.

Great-grandmother of John, Anne, and Jack Popel, Lisa Baran, Charlie (deceased) and Blayre Popel.

The family would like to thank the outstanding staff at Lakeside Long Term Care for their compassionate care of Betty-Ann through the last five years.

A Celebration of Life will be held later this summer.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Scott Mission (www. scottmission.com) or a charity of your choice.
