Whitney DonaldWHITNEY, Donald Arthur - (May 10, 1956 - June 28, 2021) - With deep sadness we announce the sudden and very unexpected passing of Donald Whitney at True Davidson Acres, Don’s home for over 7 years.

Beloved son of the late George and Irene Whitney, cherished nephew of the late Evelyn Walden, dear brother of Barbara Whitney (the late Ron Glenesk) and much-loved member of the extended Glenesk family.

Despite disabilities, Don met life head-on with a determined spirit, a zest for life and a wicked sense of humour which was appreciated by everyone who knew him.

When his mobility allowed, Don enjoyed visits to our Lake Simcoe cottage, swimming at Beaches Recreation Centre and weekly brunches at Sunset Grill.

For many years, Don was an active participant at the WoodGreen Adult Day Program. Heartfelt thanks to the attentive and respectful care provided by TDA, particularly the fabulous team on 3 West. We also appreciate the special relationships Don had with his private caregivers.

A Memorial Service will take place in August. Arrangements entrusted with Giffen-Mack funeral home, Danforth chapel.

Donations to True Davidson Acres or the Canadian National Institute for the Blind would be appreciated.
