Ubbens WendyUBBENS, Bougiena Wendy (nee Forma) - (January 2, 1933 - July 12, 2021) - Wendy Ubbens, 88, of Brampton, Ontario, went home to be with the Lord on July 12, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on January 2nd, 1933 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, to Dirk and Emma Forma (nee Wiersma).

Wendy grew up in a loving Christian family in Amsterdam along with her brothers Theo, Piet and George and sister Margreet. After WW2, followed by au pair work in England, France and Germany, she immigrated to Canada in 1955. Wendy soon became engaged to Bill Ubbens who she had met in high school when she was 13 years old. They married on August 25, 1956.

Wendy worked in office administration in Toronto with G. R. Marshall Import Co. Very dedicated and efficient, she was a driving support and partner in Wm. Ubbens Ltd. (insurance and real estate) while raising two children and providing a loving home together with her husband Bill.

They retired together in 2000 when they sold the company after 45 years. This was the beginning of some memorable trips and cottage holidays with family. Relationships with family and friends, including sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with others remained her focus until more recent years when health declined.

Wendy is survived by her loving husband of nearly 65 years, Bill; loving children Richard Ubbens (Barbara) and Emilyn De Boer (Frank), and grandchildren Timothy (Laura) Ubbens, Tara (Brent) Knibbe, Tracey (Hayden) Regeling, Philip (Hayley George) De Boer, Danielle De Boer, and great grandchildren Chloe, Meghan and Sophie Ubbens, Jubilee and Gabriella Knibbe, and Auston and Rylea Regeling; her brothers Piet (Arianne deceased) and George (Henriette) in the Netherlands and sister Margreet (Jean Paul deceased) in France. She was predeceased by brother Theo (Ellen).

We give thanks for Wendy's faithful walk with God through her life and that she was an example of how to walk gently and humbly with her Lord.

Respecting the current situation and pandemic restrictions, the funeral service and interment will be private Arrangements and livestream service details are entrusted with Ward funeral homes, Brampton chapel.
