Pace MaryPACE, Mary Carolyn (Griffith) - Succumbed to the ravages of Scleroderma, ILD, and Pulmonary Hypertension on August 31, 2021. Endured with her customary equanimity.

Cherished wife of Clarence for over sixty-one years, loving mother of Munro, Andrew, Merala (spouse to Fiona), and Philip (husband to Chad), and Nana to three grandchildren, Tyler, Quinn (partner Julia), and baby Pace.

Mary’s life was influenced by an early exposure to the theatre world through her late parents E.N.T. and Helen Griffith of Stratford, who were significant supporters of the Stratford Festival. Their home was a welcoming refuge for the founding international personnel of the day.

Throughout her adult life, Mary has been a supporter of the Arts: theatre, music and dance and worked as an arts administrator for several years. Admired for her steadfast, consistent, fun-loving and positive characteristics. Mary enjoyed many international trips with Clarence. She was a lifelong lover of dachshunds. Mary also enjoyed nature at the family cottage and in Barbados.

In her memory, donations to the Stratford Festival, Huron University College, the Toronto General Hospital (respirology division), the Temmy Latner Centre and Kids Help Phone would be appreciated. The family is grateful for the professional support of Dr. Shane Shapera and Mandy Sivananthan (TGH), Dr. Melissa Melnitzer and nurse Jennifer of the Temmy Latner Centre.

A private service and interment at Toronto will be scheduled when appropriate.
