Diamanyouros DimitraDIAMANTOUROS, Dimitra - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother Dimitra on Wednesday, September 8, 2021.

Dimitra was born on March 21, 1919 in Karyes, Laconia, Greece. Known to all that loved her as yiayia or thea Dimitroula, she lived her 102 years with immense passion and a true love of life.

She cherished her role as the family matriarch and leaves behind an incredible legacy.

Dimitroula is survived by her children, Demo (Georgia), Themio (Patricia), Triandafili (George) and John (Eleni), and her grandchildren, Demetra, George (Dina), Dimitri (Dimitra), Anna (Jimmy), Demitra (Alex), Leonida and Cristina. She is also survived by her ten great grandchildren - all of whom she loved fiercely.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George, and her infant son, Leonida.

Dimitroula left an impression on everyone she met. She led a remarkable life, filled with love and laughter, and experienced more than most could ever hope to.

She passed away peacefully and spent her last days the same way she lived all her years - surrounded by her loved ones.

Visitaion will be held at Heritage Funeral Centre, Toronto on Monday, September 13, 2021.

Following the visitation, Dimitroula will be taken to her final resting place in her hometown of Karyes - a place she loved and longed to return to.
