Byron MaryBYRON, Mary Teresa   -  Mother, Grandma, and Great-Grandma, Mary (May) Byron (Riordan) passed away comfortably at Trillium Hospital at the remarkable age of 95.

Born and raised in County Cork, Ireland, she was the oldest of seven children to Mary (May) Hynes and John Riordan.

She's survived by her sisters Aileen (Lila) and Kathleen, and predeceased by her siblings Jim, Tom, John, and Pauline.

May later moved to Ontario, Canada in 1957 with her late-husband Ned and eldest daughter Anne.

May was a devoted wife to Ned Byron for 35 years before he passed in 1988 and continued to be a loving mother until her passing to her four children Anne Marie, Beth (deceased), John, and Michael.

She was a loving grandmother and great-grandma to nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren who will always fondly remember her for sense of humour as well as her fighting spirit and independent nature.

May was a strong, determined and fiercely independent woman who loved dancing, fashion, and being together with family. She led by example.

There was never a job too large or too small that she would not tackle.

We will miss her deeply and remember her fondly.

A private memorial service will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 1:00 p.m.
