Kennedy JohnKENNEDY, John Barry - Passed away peacefully on October 3, 2021 at Southlake Regional Hospital in his 81st year.

Born in Toronto, retired to Sutton and later moved to Keswick to be closer to family.

Beloved husband of 49 years to Karen (nee Murdoch).

Cherished father of Scott, partner Cristina (Lorne, Vera, Michael) and daughter Kari and her husband Patrick.

Amazing Papa to his three granddaughters Kennedy, Kinley and Kiyah.

Son of the late John Herbert and Evelyn Margaret Kennedy (nee Barry). Birth Mother Francis Gerow (nee McKee).

Amazing brother to Rosemary Kozak, Kevin, Rick, Barry, Don and Tom Gerow, Jim, Sarah and Susan Haskins.

Brother-in-law to Gail Hogan. Fantastic uncle to Kelly (Darrin), Michael (Karen), Marc, Amy (Jay), John (Romy), Kathy, Maureen (Les) and Teresa. Great friend to many.

Those fortunate enough to be a friend to Barry knew his warmth, good character, and his humorous personality. He always brough a smile to everyone he met. Always ready to lend a hand. A selfless and hardworking man. He was a man of many talents. His love for music brought him to become a DJ, he was a Police Officer for 21 years, company owner, in sales and a bylaw officer. He was always busy.

Barry had a great love of shopping, classic cars, music, food, cards (playing euchre with his 8 school friends for over 40 years), travelling and helping others. One of his favourite places to be was his cottage on Snake Island. Forever in our hearts and memories. Our newest star in the sky. Shine bright ‘Bear’, Dad, Papa!

Private arrangements. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.

Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Humane Society would be appreciated.
