Orsini JosephineORSINI, Josephine Carmella - Peacefully, at her home surrounded by family and friends, early on Sunday October 31, 2021 at the age of 95.

Loving wife of the late Basil V. Orsini (2004) for 58 years.

Cherished Mother of 11 children: Basil, Jr. (Dianne), Marty (Carolyn), Paul, Elaine (Giacomo), Patricia, Emil (Joanne), Stephen (Barbara), Elinor (Andrew), David (Kim), Arthur (Elinor), and Linda (Gord).

Cherished grandmother of 26 and great-grandmother of 23.

Beloved daughter of the late Anthony and Beatrice Giulianelli (née Perlini) and daughter-in-law of the late Emilio and Sarah Orsini (née Feehley)

Dear sister of Danny, Gino, Ted and Arthur Giannini, Anne Corbelli, Ella Narduzzi and Mary Peressini.

Dear sister-in-law of Sr Eleanor, Fr Frank, Rita Lettner, and Jerry Orsini.

Josephine’s life was defined by her devotion to family, friends and the people she would meet. Josephine will always be remembered for her wisdom, generosity, compassion, grace, quick wit and sense of humour.

She was a matriarch of joy, strength, and unconditional love. While raising 11 children, Josephine worked as a sales representative and volunteered at the church, school and hospital. She was a pillar of strength for Basil as President of Swansea Construction Company and a key figure in Toronto's construction industry for 25 years.

The family would like to express their immense appreciation to the Chartwell Grenadier and LHIN for the personal service workers, nurses and doctors for their exceptional loving care and dedication.

Funeral visitation to take place later this week at Lynett Funeral Home, Toronto and Funeral Mass (in person and virtual) at St. Pius X Parish, 2305 Bloor Street West (East of Jane), Toronto. Interment to follow.

In leu of flowers, donations can be made to Daily Bread Food Bank, the Scott Mission and St. Joseph’s Health Centre.
