FERRARI, Vilia - With very heavy hearts we announce the passing of Velia on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at the age of 84.
Loving wife of Antonio for 64 years.
Loved mother to Joey (Lee), Marisa (Steve), Maria and Franco.
Dear nonna to Julia (Kenny), Anthony, Alexandra, and her dog Jaxson.
Great grandmother to Penelope and Austin.
Velia is predeceased by her parents Domenico and Elvira Bianchi and her sister Sr. Maria Victoria.
She leaves behind her sisters Orsolina and Eugenia and her brother Ubaldo.
She will be missed by her nieces and nephews and many friends that loved her dearly.
Velia was a remarkable, loving, compassionate, special lady with a huge heart. We will never lose sight of the wonderful person she was with her zest for cooking, baking and her love for music and dancing. She will be forever and always in our hearts.
Mommy, we miss you so much. "You had the biggest heart that was filled with so much love. Thank you for loving us the way you did".
Thank you to the family, friends and neighbours that helped us during this time with even the simplest things around the house, visiting us, calling us and sending us messages to check in on how we were doing. Thank you for bringing us meals and sweets to comfort us during our toughest days. We say thank you so very much. Your thoughtfulness and kindness are very much appreciated. Thank you to the amazing Doctors and nurses at the Palliative Care Centre at Sunnybrook Hospital who gave our mom special compassionate care during her last few months.
Visitation will be held at Bernardo Funeral Homes, Dufferin Chapel, Toronto on Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021 from 1:00pm - 5:00pm and 6:00pm - 9:00pm. The service will take place at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 811 Lawrence Avenue West, Toronto on Thursday, November 4th, 2021 at 10:00am.
