Charles FranklinCHARLES, Franklin - (13 January, 1943 – 28 October, 2021)

Very friendly, made friends easily, Loved to have a party, he would have a party every weekend if allowed to do so.

He liked to cook, but not to clean, he enjoyed making our cultural foods, along with BBQ Ribs, steak and good old Tobago food such as callaloo and king fish, and calling friends to come over to eat.

He played cricket a little bit, but loved baseball, he loved our Toronto Blue Jays. In terms of his hobbies, he liked to play the card game All Folds and loved playing Dominos with friends.

Occupation: After high school, Franklin joined the Police force in Trinidad & Tobago he spent 9 years on the force. During that time he got married to his first wife and had 2 daughters. After the end of this relationship, Franklin migrated to the United States where he lived with his sister until he reconnected with Angela who lived in Toronto. Franklin moved to Toronto they married.

Franklin worked in the post office for a while, then private eye work, then was encouraged to drive taxi to eventually own his own plate, which he did.

One Friday morning on December 19, 1991, our lives changed when Franklin collapsed. It was a stroke and Franklin spent 4 months at Scarborough General hospital. It was a tough time with a 9 and 16 year old.

Fast forward to 9 years ago, when walking became a struggle and he dealt with Kidney failure and then started  Dialysis. Shortly after, the decision was made to transfer him to BridgePoint where he spent 4 years. We were able to bring him closer to home when he transferred to Triology where he spent his final 4 years.

Franklin will be missed, and is survived by his wife Angela, his 4 children Beverly, Belinda, Cassandra and Justin and 6 grand children.
