Tielli EnzoTIELLI, Enzo   - 1940 - 2021  Peacefully, November 4, 2021, surrounded by family.

Enzo was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by his beloved wife Sheila, and children, Martin (Christine), John, Sara (Craig) and Doug (Heather), and grandsons Marcel, Julian and Pearce.

His loss will be felt here and in Italy by family and those who knew him as a true friend, a supportive colleague, a sensitive mentor and a warm, gentle, curious man with a deep love of animals and nature in all its variety.

Born in Caprino, Veronese, Italy, on January 7, 1940, he was predeceased by his parents Luigi and Maria, and sister Loredana.

Enzo was one of the first teachers of Physical Education in Italy, starting at the age of 20.

He and Sheila met while he was completing his studies, brought together by his guitar serenade at an Italian youth hostel.

They ended up raising four loving children, passing on the love of music to the boys who would all become musicians.

After marriage and military service, the move to Canada came in 1968.

Enzo learned English at Manpower, and attending York University at night, dictionary in hand, in a few months was working as an interpreter for the Separate School Board.

There he was cajoled into becoming a Social Worker and with three children by then, returned to university for two years. He had found his true calling.

His well-lived life included camping, canoeing, gardening, tennis, and travelling as often as possible.

Thank you to the good people at Woodbridge Vista who gave Enzo such care in his last weeks.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for a future date.
