Ciupa MargaretCIUPA, Margaret (nee USHER)   - 1931 - 2021  Peacefully, in her 91st year, at home and on her own terms, Margaret passed on November 11th.

Loved by Richard, her husband of 67 years.

Cherished mom and great role model to her children Catherine (Kevin Battle), Christine (Kent Davis), and Robert (Lee Stackhouse).

A card shark of a grandma to Brier, Sam, Braiden, and Mac.

She never missed a hockey or lacrosse game listening to Jimmy Buffett tunes on the drive.

As a lifelong resident of Long Branch, "treat" loving member of Brocks Beach and less than stellar ATV driver at the vineyard, her laugh and kindness will be missed by her many friends and neighbors.

Marg began her career as a school teacher and left her mark on many students, residents and organizations.

She was a founder and Board member of Lakeshore Area Multi Service Project (LAMP) and Storefront Humber, an ardent supporter of many organizations including Women's habitat, the Etobicoke Board of Health, Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Canadian Cancer Society and helped put the roof on Birch Park arena.

Marg received a City of Toronto Volunteer of the Year award and a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow.

A special thanks to the wonderful PSWs, nurses, physicians, and Uncle Bruce who all helped Marg on her way.

A celebration of a life well-lived will be held in the near future.

Donations to the charity of your choice are appreciated.

The best way to pay tribute is to spend some time volunteering in your community.

Just tell them Marg sent you.
