THOMPSON, Margaret - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Marg on Saturday December 4, 2021 at the age of 79 years.
Marg is now reunited with her dear parents Pearl and Ernest and rejoins her recently departed husband Alex.
Marg was the loving Mother of Joel Thompson and Julie (Aldo LaCapruccia). Marg’s legacy will live on forever in her grandchildren Grace LaCapruccia and Annalisa LaCapruccia. She was the admired sister of Jack Martin (Ruby) and Ted Martin (Sharon).
Marg will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all her many family, friends and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Marg was a person of many passions and interests. Most of all she loved her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was very proud of the success she achieved in her career. She was an accomplished pianist and music was a part of her life. Marg also made volunteer work in her community a priority making it a large part of her life and was a long-time member of IOF Foresters.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation and thanks to all the staff of Georgetown Memorial Hospital for the compassion and care shown to Marg during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, donations in loving memory of Marg to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family and can be made using the links above.
