Brenner BerylBRENNER, Beryl Joan (nee SHAW)   - May 9, 1929 - December 3, 2021

Beryl passed away peacefully, December 3, 2021, at the age of 92, attended by her family.

Beryl was the beloved wife of the late Bernard Brenner (died 2006) and cherished mother of Susan (Dennis), Scott (Eugenia), Douglas (Maureen) and Nancy (Byron).

She was devoted to her grandchildren: Rebecca, Daniel, Greg, Alexis, Jeff, Jillian, Jennifer (died 1984), Jason, Matthew, and her many great-grandchildren.

Beryl is survived by her sister, Joyce Hawkyard (Bill, died 2018), her brother, David Shaw (Emily) and their cousin, Ti Nichols.

Beryl was born in Toronto, Ontario, and spent her life dedicated to her husband and children.

In 1968, Beryl bravely chose to take her family on a long camping expedition through Europe, providing Bern and their children with an unforgettable experience and indelible memories of her kindness, generosity and sense of adventure. Beryl was a warm, caring person with a great sense of humour.

Always selfless, even at the end of her life she was always looking out for ways she could help others. A remarkable woman and mother, and loved dearly by family; Beryl will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her, and her memories will live on in all of us.

Beryl most recently resided at the Kingsway Retirement Home in Etobicoke.

Beryl's request to be cremated without an attending service will be honoured.

In lieu of other tributes, donations in her memory may be sent to St. Michael's Hospital.

Her family will celebrate her life at a private service in May of 2022.
