KIRWAN, Maureen Teresa (nee O'REILLY) - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our cherished mother Maureen Teresa Kirwan, on December 16, 2023, in her 96th year with her loving daughters by her side.
Cherished mother to Kathleen, Roseleen and Patricia.
Dear sister of Seamus, Edward, Tony, Myles, Nancy, Roisin, Phyllis, Kathleen, Stella, Carmel and Stephanie. Mom (Auntie Moe) will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
Mom was born in Belfast, Ireland and moved to Canada with her sister and best friend Nancy in 1954.
Mom's cooking and baking were adored by family and friends, and at church events held by the CWL at St. Anselm Parish.
One never went hungry if you dropped by for a cuppa at mom's house and mom was often heard asking if you would like another until the answer was yes.
The family will receive friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles – Newbigging Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue on Wednesday, December 20th from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held in St. Anselm Parish, 1 MacNaughton Road (at Millwood Road) on Thursday, December 21st at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow.
