PLATER, Zachary 'Zach' - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the tragic death of our beloved son and brother, Zachary Plater on May 5th, 2018 at the age of 18.
He will be deeply missed by his parents Lex and Marci, brother Daniel, and girlfriend Katie Thiessen.
Zach was also dearly loved by grandfather Lorne Northcote and late grandmother Linda Sumner, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Zach was an exceptional young man with a huge heart and endless determination. He just completed his first year at the University of Guelph, where he was studying Bio-Medical Science, in hopes of pursuing a career as a veterinarian.
Zach loved all sports. He was a black belt in karate and high school Athlete of the Year, but basketball was where his passion lay.
His infectious smile will never be forgotten!
Family and friends are invited to gather at the McKersie-Kocher Funeral Home, 114 Main Street E., Milton on Saturday May 12th from 3 - 5pm and 7 - 9pm.
A Celebration of Zach’s Life will be held at Milton District High School on the evening of Thursday May 17th from 7 - 9pm.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations in memory of Zach to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
