Lawson NancyLAWSON, Nancy Anne (nee DUCHESNEAU)  - February 24, 1953 - October 20, 2018

Gone to join her beloved parents, Dorothy and Patrick, peacefully at Mackenzie Health after early onset dementia took her from her husband Michael, her sons Ian (Renee) and Greg (Jessica), daughter Patricia, and grandchildren Genevieve, Jocelyn, Annaliese and Nathaniel. Survived by her loving sister Suzanne (Don) McNair and her niece Shannon (Gene) Morin and nephew Cameron (Megan) McNair.

Nancy was an avid swimmer, cross-country skier, camper and gardener.

She was very proud of her 32 years as a musician with the 7th (Tor) Regiment RCA and the 48th Highlanders of Canada. Her license plate said it all "CCPL" (career corporal) as she was so busy with her software developer career at SAP that she was unavailable to take any courses to advance to higher rank. She loved her various dogs, cats, canaries and guinea pigs and also managed to fit in sewing and the ever hysterical games nights either with the boards or videos.

Proud of her Quebecois heritage, she loved visiting the extended family in Quebec City. Her laughter was infectious and could fill the room. She was the engine that ran the family train. Loved and missed hugely.

There will be a Celebration of Life in the Artillery Officers Mess at Moss Park Armouries, 130 Queen St. E., on Sunday, November 18th from 2-5 p.m. Please RSVP to This email address is being protected from spambots. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Ontario SPCA or Sunnybrook Foundation in her name would be welcomed.
