Senter HildaSENTER, Hilda Beatrice  - August 8, 1920 – November 6, 2018

Hilda passed away peacefully at Christie Gardens, Toronto, in her ninety-ninth year.

The youngest of seven children, she was predeceased by her parents George Senter and Elizabeth (nee Edwards) of Worcester, England and sisters, Gertie, Margery, Gladys, Kathleen and brothers Jack and Tom.

Hilda served in the WAAF during WWII as a Technical Sergeant in El Gedida, Egypt.

She immigrated to Canada in 1948 and worked at Manulife and Canada Life before her employment with the Granite Club in 1961, where she was Office Manager until her retirement in 1985.

Active and adventurous, Hilda loved to travel and became a member of the Ladies Golf Club of Toronto in 1965, where she enjoyed many happy years of golfing and socializing with the friends she made there. Hilda is lovingly remembered by her extended family in England, niece Mary Bowen and family and Diane Taylor.

She was predeceased by her dear nephew Michael Taylor and son Nick. She will be sadly missed by her Toronto "family", Nancy Cole and Vilma and Justin Garcia.

Sincere thanks to the staff of Christie Gardens for their care and kindness over the last twelve years and to PSW Aster for the love and care she provided, before Hilda moved to the Long Term Care Community.

Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at Christie Gardens at a later date.

In memory of Hilda, donations to the Salvation Army or The Christie Gardens Foundation, will be greatly appreciated.
