Hart GeorgeHART, George Edward   - Son of George and Jennie Hart (nee Gorrill), passed away peacefully on Monday, November 19, 2018, at the age of 104.

A native of Charlottetown, P.E.I., George attended Acadia University where he met his beloved wife of 63 years, Jean.

He served in World War II and spent his early years in teaching and radio broadcasting before moving into a rewarding career in social work.

George was remarkable in his caring and tolerant nature and had a tremendous facility for language.

He loved and wrote poetry. He was predeceased by his wife, Jean (nee Jackman); survived by their six children, Charles (Colin), Gwendolyn (Patrick), Deborah (Barry), Alan (Debi), Jonathan (Mary) and Jennifer (Greg); honorary daughter Lynn; as well as eight grandchildren, Sarah, Matthew (Natalia), Rachel, Gillian, Brandon (Faye), Julia, James and Sage; and two great-grandchildren, Thomas and Benjamin. He will be dearly missed by his kindred spirit and love, Mary.

The family would like to thank the caregivers from Integracare for their outstanding service.

A memorial Celebration of Life for George Hart, who passed away on November 19, 2018, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at St. Cuthbert's Anglican Church - 1399 Bayview Ave., Toronto.
