Hobson LindaHOBSON, Linda (nee SUMBLER)  - Linda Hobson died peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 with her whole family by her side.

She was in her 74th year.

Linda was predeceased by her father, Thomas Sumbler and she leaves her mother Kay and her sister Karen.

Married for 42 years she is the beloved wife of David Hobson and the loving mother of Jessica (Travis), Zachary (Justine), Noah (Jennifer) and a completely devoted grandmother who treasured her grandchildren Hannah, Carra, Aria and Charlie.

Linda was a strong and independent woman blessed with a contagious sense of humour and a sunny disposition which has made her many close friends over the years.

In 1980, the family moved to King Township at which time Linda discovered her true artistic talent.

During the intervening years, second only to her family, Linda exhibited a relentless obsession to perfect her creative gift. This resulted in awards in many group and juried art shows, including very successful solo exhibitions.

Apart from many commissions, her work hangs in private collections throughout Canada, the United States and Europe. Linda also taught art privately over many years to a group of women who, until the very end, displayed a deep loving friendship and assistance to Linda for which we are immensely grateful.

Cremation has taken place.

Memorial Service in Knox United Church, 34 Market Street, Sutton, Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation from 10:00 a.m.
