SINGH, Pritam - Passed away peacefully on December 25, 2018 with family at his side, at Trillium Health Partners, Mississauga Hospital.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Daljeet, and leaves behind his second wife of 39 years, Upkar, and the families of his twin sons: Har and Lisa Grover with children Kyle and Hanna; Rav Grover with children Michelle and Ryan.
Born in Sargodha, India, Pritam was the youngest child in a family of seven and immigrated to Canada in 1965.
He eventually took on the role of patriarch of a large family that had spread out across the globe.
In particular, he took pride in his role as the pillar for the several branches of the family that settled in North America.
Pritam was a teacher all his life. Even after formal retirement in his late 50s, he continued to provide guidance and pass on wisdom to a broad community.
In keeping with his love of teaching and higher learning, Pritam wished to forego a funeral in place of donating his body for medical research to the University of Toronto, Division of Anatomy.
The family will be holding a private memorial and celebration of life in mid January.
He was a noble man, lived a full, content and healthy life and will be missed deeply by all that knew him.
