Simons JackSIMONS, Jack  - It is with profound sadness the family announces the passing of Jack C. Simons, predeceased by his beloved wife Joan of 55 years.

Jack will be missed and remembered fondly by his three children Jo Ann (Korcan), Jacquie, and Jeff (Yvonne), and by his grandsons Zach, Tim, Dan, Devin and Jared, to whom he was a loving and proud Papa.

Jack grew up in Regina, Saskatchewan, and was predeceased by his siblings Dorothy, Fred, Gordon, and Robert. He graduated as a Civil Engineer from Queens University in 1955.

During his studies he met and married Joan, moving to Toronto to begin his career with BA Oil, and later to Gulf Oil and then to Petro Can.

For his summer vacations he enjoyed road trips with his family. In his retirement years he enjoyed curling, golf, and volunteer work with the Toronto Kiwanis Organization.

Visitation is at Paul O’Connor Funeral Home, Scarborough, on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A private family burial for our father will occur at a later time.

Those who wish are encouraged in lieu of flowers, to make a donation in Jack’s name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (www.heartandstroke.ca) or the Canadian Cancer Society (www.cancer.ca).
