MATUSIAK, MERLE (nee HARRIS) - Passed away on January 29, 2018.
Born February 6, 1937 in Brisbane, Australia, Merle was a professional singer, performing in numerous venues with jazz greats across Asia and North America before settling in Toronto to raise her family.
Predeceased by her husband Norman and sister Lyn, she was a beloved, warm and kind-hearted mother to sons Eric and Jason, mother-in-law to Christina Yarmol, nana to grandkids Erica, Michaela and Nathaniel, aunt to nieces Inga and Lisa and great-aunt to many more generations.
Visitation will be Thursday February 1, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at Turner & Porter, Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W. in Etobicoke, followed by a celebration brunch at Islington Golf and Country Club at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 2, 2018.
