IVES, Dr. David Arthur John - Peacefully at his home in Manotick, Ontario on Sunday, January 21, 2018 in his 89th year.
David was predeceased by his loving wife Carol (nee Johnston).
He will be forever remembered by his children Caroline (Garry), Andrew (Alexa) and Liz (Chris) and step-daughters Kelly and Dawn and also by his eight grandchildren, their spouses, two great-grandchildren and his cousins in England.
David was born in London, England in 1929 and immigrated to Canada in 1955.
A longtime Chemist at Connaught Laboratories, he specialized in vaccine research.
His passions in retirement were travelling, reading, theatre and always classical music.
We will forever miss his gentle, witty and curious nature.
His family extends sincere thanks to the entire staff at Orchard Walk Retirement Residence.
