ROSEN, Beulah Irene (nee JAENICKE) - Born June 16, 1918, passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital on January 31, 2018, a few months before her 100th birthday.
Beulah grew up in Luseland, Saskatchewan, taught school in northern British Columbia and then enlisted in the Canadian Army during WWII where she became a lieutenant in the Women's Corps, serving in Ottawa in the recruiting division as a war artist. Some of her artwork done at that time now rests in the Canadian War Museum.
She married Edward "Ted" Rosen in 1945 and moved to Toronto in 1947 where she lived for most of the rest of her life. Predeceased by her husband Ted, brothers John, Tom and Peter and sister Margaret.
Fondly remembered by her children Eric (Keiko) and Claire (Bob Paterson) and grandchildren Sanae and Yohei.
