Franco NoreenFRANKO, Noreen Teresa (nee FARAGHER)  - After a long and blessed life our beautiful mother and grandmother passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018 surrounded by those she loved.

Mom is together again with Matthew, her beloved husband of 63 years and her precious daughter Lee.

She will be missed by her children who adored her and whom she loved and was so proud of: Terry (Ed), Paul (Donna), Jim (Karen), Gary (Cathy) and Maureen (Phil) and her grandchildren that brought her so much joy - Matthew, Nicole, Christopher, Stephanie, Samantha, Jacqueline, Michael, Katherine, Alexa, Paul, Daniel, Jake and Riley.

Mom was proud of her Irish roots. She was predeceased by her parents Catherine and James Faragher and siblings Eileen Wilson (late Cliff), Kye Cranley (late Vince), Jack Faragher, Mary Bardwell (late Lou), Jim Faragher (late Lil) and Rita Bradley (late Brian).

She is survived by sisters Josephine Flynn (late John) and Joan Ranson (late Jim), brothers-in-law Henry Franko and George Franko (late Nora) and many nieces and nephews. We have so many wonderful memories by the lake, which was one of Mom's favourite places.

Her compassion and deep faith guided her in what she did and how she treated others. She had a gift for listening. Her family always came first, but Mom found time to devote over 40 years of ministry at St. Mary's Church and several charities that focused on helping young mothers and their children and those less fortunate.

We were blessed to have such a wonderful mother and role model in our lives. Towards the end of mom's journey, we appreciated the care and love given by helpers at Sunrise.

Our family would like to give special thanks to Hanifa and Cheryl. Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 52 Main Street South (Highway #10), Brampton, on Tuesday, April 10th from 5:00-9:00 pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, 66A Main Street South, Brampton, on Wednesday, April 11th at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow.

For those that wish, donations may be made in Noreen's name to Covenant House, L'Arche or Interval House.
