KRASUKI, Margaret Patricia Krasuski

February 6, 1931 – February 16, 2026

With sadness, the family announces the passing of Margaret Patricia Krasuski on February 16, 2026. Hers was a long and storied life. As a young girl she sought refuge from the persistent assault on Manchester England from the “Blitzkreig” bombing of the country by Nazi forces. Lucky to survive when millions perished in WW11 she matured under the counsel of loving parents and stern, disciplined teachers determined to impose a rigorous Catholic education that would instill within her a steely morality throughout her life. Later, Margaret met and married a concentration camp survivor from eastern Europe, becoming a “war bride” and joining countless single men and women who met and married during the displacement of wartime survivors.

After 5 years this young couple, Margaret and her husband Stefan, chose a new life in Canada, joining family members and many others who immigrated earlier, excited by the promise of freedom and prosperity in this great country. For many years the family lived in Toronto and later in Gogama where they built a resort which is still operates, today under the name Morin’s All Season Resort.

Margaret endured the triumphs and disappointments of life in a new country, but her legacy persists. She was much loved by her sons Stefan, deceased (Judy), Michael, deceased (Dianne), and Marek (Dinah). In an often turbulent world Margaret’s love was steadfast and generous. May the remaining few who remember her bathe in the warmth of her tenderness, an unfailing attribute for which she will be remembered.

She will be missed by grandsons Joshua and Paul.

The family is grateful to the staff at Fairvern Long-Term Care in Huntsville for their management of Margaret’s well being during the last of her troubled years. They were indespensible to her comfort and care. Thank God for caregivers who give so much and ask so little.
