Reta M. Walls

A long time resident of Comox, BC, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 23, 2026, in her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was a proud member of the Canadian Airforce, and it was at Rockcliffe, where she met the love of her life, Bruce and they were married for over 68 years.

She was wonderful Mother to her twins, Brian and Brenda, and a caring Mother-in-law to Dave.

Reta loved her family, especially her late parents Gordon and Edna Eastman, sister Norma, and her brothers Ronald and Dwight (predeceased), her sisters-in-law Barbara (predeceased),

Betty (predeceased) and Donna, and her brothers-in-law Henry (predeceased), and Dwain.

She loved and adored all her nieces and nephews and their families.

Reta loved her community and was proud to be a life member of the Courtenay Fish and Game Club.

She also supported her local Legion for many years, and she loved her special “Military Photographers” family, maintaining decades of friendship, up until her death.

She and Bruce enjoyed their time with many friends at the 888 Wing in Comox.

A big shoutout to her many friends, who have supported her and her family with lots of conversations, flowers and meals, love and laughter for many years.

A private family graveside service will take place at the Diamond Cemetery, Kinburn.

Friends are invited to join the family for a reception in Reta’s memory to be held at the Kinburn Community Centre on Friday, September 11^th from 2 to 4 p.m.

In memory, donations to the Diamond Cemetery, Kinburn would be appreciated.
