With profound sadness, we say goodbye to our father Victor Mirlas, who passed away on Shabbat, November 22. He was born in Russia, and together with his wife moved with his family to Canada in 1982, looking for a brighter future for his children. He was a steadfast member of the Jewish Russian community, and attended classes and services regularly. He continued to come to shul on Shabbat for as long as he was able to, even when he was residing in the Baycrest hospital. He was a devoted husband (of the late Shulamit Mirlas), and proud of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
