With heavy hearts we share the passing of
Edward “Ted” Denny on Monday, November 10th, 2025 at the age of 90 (born June 9th, 1935).
Ted was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, and soulmate, Shirley (nee Mason). They are now reunited.
He was the proud Father of Joseph (Sue), Jamie (Debra), Victoria Lailey (Grant) and Catherine Garacci (Mike).
Ted was a loving Grandfather to Joshua, Sarah, Jarah Lailey (Mikayla), James Masson (predeceased), Jennifer, Noelle Bogdan (Dale), Justin (Ashley), Christina Garacci (Josh) and Nicholas Garacci (Jaime).
He was a doting Great Grandfather (Grandad) to Blaize, Jacob, Dash, Madeline, Spencer, Hannah, Maxx, Margo, Henry, Tatum, Riley, Wade and Leo.
Ted was predeceased by sisters Catherine Martyn and Christina Edgar and will be fondly remembered by nieces and nephews.
He will be deeply missed by his dear friend Shirley Black.
Ted spent his entire life building relationships and strong bonds with all who knew him. Whether you were family or friend, business associate or Lodge Brother, the name “Ted Denny” meant kindness, integrity, quick wit, loyalty and honesty. He was a special man who was respected and admired.
He will be deeply missed by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many friends. He truly made this world a better place and leaves behind a wonderful legacy for those who were privileged to be in his “circle”.
Memorial service to celebrate Ted’s life will be held
Monday, November 24th, 2025
St. John’s Anglican Church, Bowmanville
Visitation 11:00 – 12:30 followed by a service and luncheon.
Internment at 3:45 at St. Albert cemetery
