It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Bob Leest in Alliston, Ontario, on October 31, 2025, at the age of 91.
Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and a beloved member of the Alliston Christian Reformed Church and community. Raised in a proud farming tradition, he lived with grace, humility, and quiet strength. Known for his kindness, integrity, and deep faith, Bob’s love for family and community was unwavering. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched.
Bob was predeceased by his beloved daughter Marsha and granddaughters Jacqueline, and her unborn sister. Their spirits live on in the enduring bond shared with Marsha’s husband Walter and his wife Wendy, who remain cherished members of the family.
He is survived by his loving wife Margaret; sister Marianne, children Linda, Barry (Diane), Richard (Rael), and David (Wendie); grandchildren Derek (Amanda), Marja (Laurence), Trevor, Amy (Arthur), Matthew (Hannah), Steven (Yangqian), Sara (Steve), Melissa (Andrew), Liam (Michaela), Lacey, Alexis, and Laura; and great-grandchildren Mavis, Jacquelyn, Hannah, Jenelle, Megan, Deklan, and Everleigh.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8th at the Alliston Christian Reformed Church. Visitation begins at 1:00 PM, followed by the service at 2:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Matthews House Hospice in Alliston, in honour of Bob’s lifelong service to others and in gratitude for the Hospice’s compassionate care during his final days
