Passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025 at the age of 69. Predeceased by her parents, Henry and Elizabeth Coates, she leaves behind her partner in life, Garry Morgan, sisters Tami Smith (Andrew) and Sandra Baboulas (Angelo), son Darryl Leduc (Christal) and daughter Christine Allan (Brett). She loved all moments spent with her grandsons Austin, Cory, William, Aidan and Tyson.
Karen was a hard worker and dedicated 25 years to H&R Block in Oshawa. She had a soft heart and lived a simple life which included spending as much time as she could outdoors. When Karen was young she took up skiing – the only one in the family. And she forever loved horseback riding and camping. In the last few years, Karen was happiest up at the trailer or sipping her steeped tea – double double with milk – at the lake.
The family will be holding a memorial to celebrate what would have been Karen’s 70th Birthday, details TBA.
