It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of John Mario Masaro on October 9, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Riese Pio X (Treviso) and was in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Maria Masaro for over 57 years. Devoted father that will be lovingly remembered by Christina Masaro (Carmine), Laura Kolenko (Steve), Leanna Masaro – Yff (Kathy). Proud Nonno to Vincent, Marisa, Nicholas and Alexandra. Predeceased by his parents Adolfo and Maria Masaro and his sister Ornella Moody. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Joanne Di Ianni (Angelo) and Dianne Masaro. He will be sadly missed by his nephews, niece, cousins and friends in Canada and Italy.
John was known for his dedication to his wife and family. He valued his long-standing relationships with his friends and community. John was a Master Electrician and owned a successful electrical business. He was a multi-talented skilled craftsman. One of John’s proudest achievements was building a house for his family. John had a lifelong love of painting, enjoyed fishing and taking road trips in his Grand Marquis.
Visitation will be held at Friscolanti Funeral Home, 43 Barton St. E, Hamilton on Tuesday, October 14, from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church, 165 Prospect St. N, Hamilton on Wednesday, October 15, at 12:00 pm followed by entombment at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery in Burlington.
John will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love, laughter, and legacy he leaves behind.
