Surrounded by the love of his family at Lion’s Head Hospital on Monday afternoon September 29, 2025.  Bevan Tackaberry of Lion’s Head in his 94th year.  Beloved husband of Betty (nee McArthur) for 67 years.  Cherished father of Steve (Connie) of Lion’s Head and Tami Farrell (Dave Shewan) of Strathroy.  Much loved grandfather of Spencer (Alli), Keaton (Melissa) and Brittany (Jay) and great grandfather of Kyra, Karter, Izzy, Mila, Emi, Molly and Cavan.  Dear brother of Adele Greig (Keith) of Port Elgin and brother-in-law of Patsy McArthur of Tobermory.  Missed by many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents Frances (nee Bruin) and Austin Tackaberry, sister Joye Bryce (Wilf), brothers-in-law Kyle McArthur (Leota) and Dale McArthur and grandson Kurtis Farrell.

Family and friends are invited to share memories at the Bethel Missionary Church, 18 Ferndale Road, Lion’s Head on Monday, October 6th from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m..  The funeral service will be conducted at the Church on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m.  Private family interment Eastnor Cemetery.  Arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, LION’S HEAD CHAPEL, Lion’s Head.  Expressions of remembrance to Lion’s Head Hospital c/o Bruce Peninsula Hospitals Foundation or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.  Messages of condolence may be sent to the family through www.georgefuneralhome.com
