With much love and sadness, we announce his peaceful passing on September 20, 2025 at the Wiarton Hospital. Forbes lived a rich and fulfilling life and he considered himself a lucky man – for his family, friends, faith and professional life. Loving husband of Patricia White, proud father of Forbes & Alyson, Stephen & Krista and Josie & Kent and popa’s girls Laura (Sam), Erin (Patrick), Anna, Erica, Ella and Chloe. Forbes leaves his siblings Margaret & John Leiher, Eileen & Vic Polsoni and Mary & Bob Forrester. He will be missed by the White family – Irvine and Charles White and Margaret Thompson and his favourite ‘outlaws’ Barbara, Marlene and Jan White. Forbes was predeceased by his parents Douglas and Lallie Symon, parents-in-law Oliver and Evelyn White, brother James (Marie), and brothers-in-law Cameron and Henry White and Jim Thompson.
Forbes loved fishing, playing card games and leading a vigorous sing-song on many occasions. Family was always so important to Forbes. He was a steady force and was valued for his opinions and guidance.
