Randy Salter

December 30, 1962 – September 1, 2025

Man in cap by lakeside, trees in background.

After a valiant battle, Randy Salter (Blake), beloved partner of Michele McKeown, passed away on September 1,2025, at the age 62.  Randy leaves behind his children, Mitchell, Salter, Amy, Scott Mathewson, along with their families.  Randy was the son of the late Jean Salter (Mappin) and the youngest of four.  His siblings Jeff, Debbie (Wes), and Kim (Russ), along with their children, will forever miss him. His loss will also be deeply felt by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.  Michele’s parents, as well as her brother Marc and his wife, will especially miss Randy.  His loyal dog, Jax, is lost without him.

Randy was always there for his friends when they needed a helping hand.  He had a story for every occasion —never skipping a detail—- and could always put a smile on your face.  He enjoyed spending time at his favourite place, Feeny Lake, surrounded by friends.  His kids will forever cherish their weekend adventures touring around with him.

Following Randy’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no celebration of life.  In memory of Randy, a donation can be made to a local animal rescue.  In true Randy style, you can raise a cold beer as a toast to him.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses who cared for Randy, and a special thank you goes out to the friends and family who kept his spirits up while he fought this battle.

You will always be missed, love Michele.
