On his 97th birthday, Andy passed away being called home by his Lord and Saviour. Andy lived a long life, was a good provider, devoted to his family, church, and Christian Education. He was generous and hard working, a social man with a warm handshake and a “How are you?” for all those he met. Predeceased by his wife Hammie and daughter Rose. Left behind in God’s care are his children, Anne and Mike Godfrey, Tracy and David Vernest, Lloyd and Rose Devries, Rob Devries, his son -in- law Harvey Lootsma and Martha, and his 11 grandchildren (Devan, Cameron, Kyle, Mark, Heather, Nicole, Brandon, Curtis, Brett, Luke and Hannah) and 10 great-grandchildren.
Beloved brother to Clarence Devries, his two sisters in the Netherlands, and his companion Hotty Vandergaast. Andrew leaves many relatives behind both in Canada and the Netherlands We take comfort in knowing he is resting in loving arms of Jesus. A private family interment will take place prior to the service. Family and friends are invited to Northcutt Elliot Funeral Home for visitation on Wednesday September 17, 2025 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral Service will take place at Rehoboth Christian Reformed Church 130 Scugog St on Thursday September 18, 2025 at 11:00 am. Family and friends can watch the funeral service via livestream
