It is with heavy hearts we announce the unexpected and sudden passing of our beloved Vito Amato on Saturday September 6, 2025 at the age of 82, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.
Vito leaves behind his loving wife of 61 years Carol. His sons Joe (Heather) and George (Wendy). Proud Nonno/Grandfather of Michael, Stacey (Kevin), Tina, Tonya (Cory), Blake, and Travis. Devoted great Nonno/Grandfather of Landon, Hunter, Xavier, Brock, Maria, Felix, TJ, Rylan, Tristin & Kacen.
Vito is predeceased by his parents Giuseppe & Liberata. He was the youngest of 13 siblings all of whom predeceased him.
Vito had a deep love for nature and the great outdoors. He enjoyed camping, canoeing and hiking and found joy in travelling to Florida throughout the years. His adventurous spirit and devotion to his family will be forever remembered.
