Passed away unexpectedly on September 4, 2025, at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, surrounded by his loving family.
Greg was the devoted husband of 39 years to Elaine (Richardson) and the proud father and best friend of Kenton (Brittany) and Kyle. He will be deeply missed by his sister, Ann Buller (Gary), and his brother, Mark Mayhew (Rachael).
He was predeceased by his parents, Kenneth Mayhew and Rita Holly.
A dedicated mechanic for over 45 years, Greg was proud of his long service with Spencer’s Garage in Pickering. Outside of work, he was a proud and active member of the Spruce Creek Hunting Camp for 49 years, where countless stories of his shooting prowess were told — and sometimes exaggerated.
Greg’s warmth, kindness, and love for his family and friends touched the lives of many. He will be fondly remembered for his quick wit, unique sense of humor and story telling. He will now and forever be missed by his immediate and extended family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
