MCBRIDE, Betty McBride

She grew up learning about plants from her father who was a gardener. Betty McBride soon was working at Sheridan Nurseries and continued her love of all things growing. Choir practice and singing at Sunday services occupied much of her spare time. Besides taking care of her elderly parents, she found time to enjoy hobbies such as pottery, photography and travel. Predeceased by husband Joseph, sisters Evelyn and Florence, and nephew Glen Bissett. Her remaining family consisted of nieces Barbara Thomas and Marilyn Wooder and nephews Bruce Bissett and John Gropp. Also great nieces Christine, Dana, Debra, Jennifer, Michele, Sandra and great nephews Darryl, Grant, Jeff, Michael and their children.

The family extends sincere thanks to all the staff at Birkdale Place in Milton where Betty resided for the final twelve of her life. Also to Dr. Brian Watada.

Memorial Visitation to be held Saturday April 11 from 10 – 11am at McKersie & Early Funeral Home, 114 Main Street East in Milton. Memorial Service at 11am in the Chapel, with reception to follow.
