MARSHALL, Brenda Louise Marshall

It is with heavy hearts that we announce Brenda’s passing at Campbell House Hospice, Collingwood on May 24, 2026 after a long and courageous fight against dementia. Beloved mother of Bryan (Shara), Peter (Cori) and Brad (Sarah), stepmother to Pat (Steve), Jody and John, and cherished grandmother to each of her many grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband Bill Maffett. She is survived by her loving sister Linda (Jim).

Brenda lived for her family and made a pastime of bragging about her grandchildren. She was a passionate gardener, and a prolific crafter. Her Raggedy Andy’s dolls are still a collector’s item. She loved being a secondary school teacher, and was adored by her students at the Earl of March High School. She was involved in church choirs for most of her adult years and loved to sing. She will be dearly missed. Special thanks to Chantal Sky and her team of caregivers, Catherine Brown for her outreach, the staff at Sunset Manor Nursing Home, and Dr. Quigg for his attentiveness. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Presbyterian Church of Collingwood.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel. Visitation to take place at 1 o’clock on Monday, June 1, 2026. Memorial service led by Catherine Brown at 2 o’clock with reception to follow.
