CAMPOLUCCI, Gilda Campolucci

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful mother, Gilda. She went peacefully on June 12, 2026 at the age of 94. Gilda will join her beloved husband Aldo Nicola (1997), who shared in a loving marriage for 46 years. Gilda was a caring and devoted mother to Carla Serpa (Franc), Sandra Campolucci and Laura Consalvo (Luciano). Cherished Nonna to Luisa Serpa, Anthony Serpa, Alyssia Campolucci (Michael Prates), Michael Serpa, Nicolas Consalvo, Daniela Consalvo and GianLuca Consalvo. Great grandmother to her little man, Fabian Serpa. Gilda was so loved and adored by her family, predeceased by her parents Franca and Nicola Pierantognietti, and her sister Gianna Mannicci, she remained close to her younger sister, Elena Sebastianelli, in Italy. She will lovingly be remembered by all her nieces and nephews, their families both near and far, and by many long-time friends.

Our parents arrived in Windsor, Canada in 1957, moving to Toronto shortly thereafter. Dad worked in construction while mom found work in the fur industry. She enjoyed working downtown, and as a certified seamstress she was able to contribute successfully to the high demand of fur coats at the time. Through the years mom moved on to other positions. At the age of 65 she retired from her position at York University with 25 years of service. Since then, she remained focused on family, selflessly devoting her time to her husband, her daughters and especially to the care of her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking their favorite dishes in “Nonna’s Kitchen” and sharing in many conversations with them, while building memories and lasting traditions. In her spare time mom spent countless hours knitting little garments for so many babies while awaiting their arrival.

Gilda Campolucci will always be remembered as a woman of deep faith. A kind and generous woman, a mother who loved dearly, always putting family first. She was the heart of the family. A pillar of stability and strength in her devotion with her unconditional love for all. She touched so many lives and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Her passing leaves us with a profound emptiness. May she rest in eternal peace.
