BIRD, Margaret Bird

Passed away peacefully at Chapman House on Thursday, July 9, 2026. Born in Halifax on May 26, 1939, Margaret Rose Bird (nee Slaunwhite) of Hamilton was in her 88th year.

Loving grandmother of Randall Bird (Jen) of Hanover and Katelyn Courtney (Tyson) of Owen Sound. Cherished great grandmother of Randall, Braedon, Gabriel, Ava, Jase and Harper.

Predeceased by her husband Frederick Bird, sons Randy, Tony and Gord, and by her parents William and Margaret Slaunwhite.

In keeping with Margaret’s wishes, cremation is taking place and a graveside service will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 700 Chapel Hill Rd, Stoney Creek, on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492.
